After a successful collection of can paintings back in the early 2020's I have returned to this crushed coke can.
We rarely have cool drink in our home, but after a hot weekend a cold refreshing coca cola was calling my name. A few days later, the can was laying there just asking to be painted.
I am fascinated by the shapes, colours and reflections in the can.
As I always I took my inspiration into the studio and painted it as it sat before me, bringing this everyday subject to life with layer upon layer of smooth expressive brushstrokes.
The artwork continues to the edges and is sealed with a gloss varnish meaning that this artwork is ready to hang on your walls.
