From My Motherhood collection, "Stacked Up" is a work journaling my own early years of motherhood.
As a young mother, the overwhelming feeling of being forever swamped with an endless workload can be defeating at times. I stepped back from the chaos and captured it in a series of works.
Stacked up a messy kitchen scene captured in my own kitchen, a haphazard pile of dishes sitting alongside a sink, a squashed beer, tea strainers and dish soap are all squeezed into this humorous snapshot of life.
Painted with quality acrylic paint, this artwork is rich in colour. My signature brushstrokes, build to create and expressive yet detailed work bringing the chaotic moment to life.
